Marriage Equality Watch (formerly Gay Marriage Watch) was a daily email summary and blog of news concerning marriage equality in the United States and around the world. Sponsored by Purple Unions and Marriage Equality USA since 2010, the project was an important resource in keeping media, politicians, advocates and others abreast of the most recent developments in the marriage equality movement.

The project was a labor of love for Scott Coatsworth & Mark Guzman, a gay couple who met in 1992 and legally married in 2008. Scott and Mark started their original site in 1998 before launching Purple Unions in 2003. Scott and Mark hoped to one day marry each other, and they wanted to create a gay friendly directory where gay and lesbian couples could find the resources to plan their own wedding day with the help of supportive wedding vendors of all types.

On January 1st, 2008, Scott and Mark launched their blog to help keep their allies updated on marriage equality and gay rights news around the world. Since 2010 MEUSA had been a co-sponsor of Marriage Equality Watch. On April 30, 2016, Marriage Equality Watch sent its final email summary and blog post.
