Steve, his partner, ESPN and CNN columnist LZ Granderson, and LZ's teenage son, recently moved from West Michigan to Chicago, IL. Together the two men have been actively engaged in the fight for equal rights for years -- not just for themselves. “It’s important to continue the pursuit of equal rights in order to pave the way for our LGBT youth,” emphasizes Steve.

Steve is the Merchandising Operations Director at Ulta. Prior to that he was Financial Planning and Supply Chain Director at Meijer. Having worked in corporate America for nearly 30 years, Steve has an intimate understanding of the financial and emotional impact created by inequality in the workplace.

When he's not working, Steve enjoys spending time with his family and friends, cooking, and photography.
