Dear Love Warriors,

    This is a critical time in the fight for equality here in California. The Prop 8 trial is underway; recent polling shows that a slim majority of Californians support marriage equality; and grassroots activists have formed a coalition to seek the repeal of Prop 8 this November, Restore Equality 2010.

    We in Los Angeles owe a great debt to our former Chapter Leaders, Geoff & Peter. They have worked tirelessly here in Southern California in service to the cause of LGBT rights. We are fortunate that they will continue to advise and assist us as we try to step-up and perhaps provide a small piece of the leadership they have shown.

    Please let us know what we can do to help you in your daily struggle for equality. And, we urge you to each get involved in keeping the dream of true LGBT equality alive in Southern California. To that end, we will contact you with involvement opportunities – whether for canvassing, demonstrating, or gathering signatures for the 2010 ballot initiative.

    There are many ways to move this cause forward – they are all valid and they are all necessary if we are to see an end to discrimination against the LGBT community.

Academy Award Winner Patty Duke Wants You to

Help Repeal Prop 8!

Academy Award Winner Patty Duke says it best in this video.

   Nobody said except if you are gay... That is what I still believe."

On Saturday Feb 6th, thousands of volunteers will come together statewide to gather signatures in our communities to repeal Prop 8 in 2010.
