"HEARTLAND TRANSPORT" GETS TO THE HEART OF EQUAL MARRIAGE RIGHTS

Heartland Transport is winning the hearts of audiences all over the United States. This short documentary tells the story of 17 same-sex couples who obtain their marriage licenses in Iowa.
Back on 3 April 2009, the Iowa Supreme court unanimously upheld the ruling holding that there was no governmental interest in denying citizens marriage licenses based on their sexual orientation.
Immediately following, Ed Reggi and Scott Emanuel chartered a bus taking seventeen same sex couples from St. Louis, Missouri to Iowa City, Iowa to be legally married.
